The Manila City library is a 2 storey building along Taft Avenue, facing the Luneta Park.  The library has 11 other branches around Manila. Most of the books are donations from educational institutions in Manila, private individuals, and some non-government organizations. The library’s patrons are mostly students from nearby college universities. It has a diverse collection of books but most of them are for room-use only.

This library has collections of circulation books, journals, periodicals, reference books, filipiniana books and of course the special local collection all about the city of Manila.

This library aspires to provide a variety of informational, cultural, recreational needs to sustain the literacy of the Manila citizens. It is their mission to provide free access to resources, materials and their services to support the opportunities to get together and communicate, lifelong learning,  and to meet the educational needs of the citizens of Manila.
