Situated on Makati City Hall’s 8th floor, the Makati City Library consists of collections for all ages and interests. The library is an elongated space. They have a very diverse collection of children’s books, reference books, Filipiniana, law, periodicals and serials, gender and development books, books and materials for PWD, fiction, and books on Makati history, and also the Makati government, etc.
This library boasts its well lit spacious areas with comfortable soft chairs. They also provide a number of services such as free wifi and computer use and photocopying and scanning and many more for the
The Makati City government provided the library with books. The collections are cataloged in the Dewey Decimal System and using the National Library’s Online Public Access Catalog called “Koha”. Their facilities were contributed by generous private corporations. This library is leading when it comes to outreach activities in Makati Barangays. They want to educate and instill a love for reading for children above 3 years old.
